DESIGN
PROCESS
How does yonderism’s design process work?
Here’s how it works, and what you can expect.

We don’t actually have a storefront, but how cool would this be?
Submit Inquiry
New clients start by filling out the design service inquiry. It’s a short questionnaire covering your needs, project scope, and turnaround.
Submit inquiry
Once I review it, I'll send over my calendar so we can schedule a call to talk through the details. Afterward, I'll put together a design proposal outlining the schedule, deliverables, pricing, and contract terms. All I need is a signature and deposit to officially kick things off.
Concept Session
Our first session helps make sure we’re directionally aligned before I commit and start the polished work. I'll share sketches, moodboards, or early references so you can weigh in on the approach.
Refinement Session
Once I get your concept feedback, I'll start constructing everything into a near-final graphic.
Revision Session
Most projects only require one round of major revisions. This would be your chance to bring together any final edits or questions. Larger projects might call for scoping a second session if we need to fine-tune copy, edit nutrition facts totals, or finalize ingredient lists for instance. A third round can be scoped if you're waiting on feedback from a compliance attorney, certification board, or similar authority.
Handoff
Once revisions are final, I'll send an invoice payable by credit or debit card. After payment, you'll receive a clean, organized zip folder with all your assets.

BIO

Todd is a multi-discipline illustrator and graphic artist with 15 years in the field.

Style
I believe traditional illustration is the essential ingredient in all of my projects. I draw everything by hand, which is foundation for what I really wanted in starting a studio. This allows a ton of room for customization beyond simple shapes and standard issue fonts.
A handmade approach opens up decades of great Inspiration to pull from. I mean, not too long ago, everything was designed by hand. Old mascots, hand lettering, funky type lockups, etc. You can mix and match elements across these eras to build something really neat.
If you really wanted to get nerdy about it, I think my work has been a little bit neo-brutalist lately.
Background
I spent nearly a decade leading brand and packaging design for Honey Stinger (athlete focused snack food), and Big Agnes (outdoor gear). Back then, both were tiny operations in a warehouse.
Eventually I was working alongside scale-up investors and founders on potential branding. We had explosive growth and suddenly I was on calls with 3 legal teams and 2 celebrity shareholders.
I learned a lot of lessons and made a ton of mistakes, but that kind of exposure in “what to do” and “what not to do” led to more small businesses reaching out for design consulting. I became local expert in launching CPG product lines without running into any headaches (and not getting a class action lawsuit over your packaging).
To this day, you can walk any major grocery store, or Wholefoods, Target, REI, or Costco and find something I designed on my laptop.
I’d love to share my experience, and help deliver successful graphics for your business.
